9600 series - Slurry analysers

Using our hybrid ultrasonic sensor technology, the Rhosonics Inline Slurry Analysers measure key process variables, such as suspended solids, dissolved solids, or density (or indeed all three together). Most importantly, all Model 9600 Analysers use full-bore, flow-through technology. These wafer-type sensors are easy to install. The intrusion of sensors is undesirable in slurries due to their high solids content; our sensors do not have to be mounted intrusively. A second major advantage is that Rhosonics doesn’t use a nuclear source, unlike many slurry density measurement devices. This makes Rhosonics the first choice when it comes to measuring TSS, TDS, or density of slurries in a wide range of applications, such as mining slurries, cement and drilling mud.

9670 Model

TSS and TDS measurement of slurries

For in-line measurement of TSS (Total Suspended Solids) or TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), we recommend the use of our model 9670. This model is ideal for monitoring slurries in a small pipeline. This model uses two hybrid PEEK sensors, facing opposite directions. These ultrasonic sensors measure a wide range of physical parameters, including density and the velocity of sound to determine the amount of either dissolved or suspended solids. Thanks to the powerful sensors virtually all slurries up to 2500 g/l can be measured. This model is used for measuring drilling mud and for measuring cement slurries.

9680 Model

Solids and Concentration Measurement in Slurries

Model 9680 is used to measure concentration, TSS (Total Suspended Solids), or TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). This model has one sensor each to measure the velocity of sound, temperature, attenuation, and acoustic impedance. A single PEEK sensor measures these parameter to accurately calculate the TSS, TDS, and concentration. Different kinds of PEEK sensors can be installed in model 9680. Rhosonics provides very rigid sensors for measuring solids in tanks. We also provide sensors to make in-line measurement of slurries possible if concentrations in slurries are deemed critical. Brine and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) are well known applications for which this model can be used.

9695 model Concentration Meter

Model 9695 is Rhosonics’ latest addition to its line of inline liquid concentration meters. Employing a hybrid ultrasonic sensing technology, it is now possible to measure concentrations without intrusion of any sensor. The Rhosonics Model 9695 is the newest and most powerful device to measure strongly concentrated and diluted solutions in water. Based on the measurement of acoustic impedance, Model 9695 provides a robust inline analysis method for the entire range of concentrations. The concentration of a liquid is the product of the acoustic impedance and temperature. The measurement of the acoustic impedance requires only one hybrid ultrasonic sensor, which can be installed in a tank or inside a pipeline. Most importantly, this new method eliminates the disadvantages incurred when using other methods, such as mass density meters, refractometers, and even sound velocity meters. With this model, there is zero intrusion and thus zero chance of wear or erosion, which is an absolute must in many applications:
