9500 series - Ternary liquid analysers

The Rhosonics Model 9500 is used to analyse electrolytes and surface treatment fluids. Using the innovative analysis technology and sensor design of our analyser, it is possible to monitor, continuously and in-line, two chemical components in a solution.

A major problem when measuring two components in a liquid is that the speed at which sound travels will be different for either (at the same temperature). This makes it difficult to determine whether the concentration of liquid one or two is changing. However, this model is able to determine both concentrations by measuring the velocity of sound and conductivity, or alternatively the speed of sound and the density of the liquid, at the same time.

9570 Model Ternary Liquid Analyser

Dual Sensor System

This model is perfectly suited for applications where two chemicals need to be measured, such as TMAH + PR (which is used in the production of LCD and TFT screens). The model 9570 ternary analyser uses an ultrasonic sensor with an integrated PT100 temperature sensor and an electrodeless conductivity probe. They measure the velocity of sound, conductivity, and temperature in line and at the same time. With special liquid calibration, the analyser is able to determine the concentration of two liquids with a high degree of accuracy. The ultrasonic probe is made from stainless steel and is mounted in a PVDF or PVC cell (which makes it a bypass). The conductivity probe is made of PEEK and mounted in a second cell. Other mounting options are possible on request. For more abrasive media, such as H2S04 & Cu++, we recommend the use of model 9580.

Concentration Meter B31 is the newest model for measurement of two components in ternary liquid solutions. This model is the successor of the model 9570 and can also be used for applications of the model 9580. Please contact Rhosonics for more information about this product.

9580 Model Ternary Liquid Analyser

Dual Sensor System for Abrasive media

This model is perfectly suited for applications where two chemicals need to be measured, such as H2S04 & Cu++ and HCl & FeCl2. These liquids are commonly used in electroplating and pickling applications. Model 9580 is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, including a PT100 temperature sensor and an electrodeless conductivity probe. Like model 9570, it measures the velocity of sound, temperature, and conductivity. The ultrasonic probe is made of Hastelloy C276 or C2000 and PEEK, and is mounted in a PVDF or PVC cell (which makes it a bypass). The conductivity probe is also made of PEEK and mounted in a second cell. Other mounting options are possible on request. For less abrasive media, such as TMAH+PR, we recommend the use of model 9570 instead.

9585 COD Meter

COD measurement for breweries

This model is mostly used as a COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) meter for waste water treatment in breweries. For a COD application, a calibration matrix is used to measure the concentration with a high degree of accuracy. You can have a look at the application for further details. Model 9585 determines the COD concentration with an ultrasonic probe that includes a PT100 temperature sensor and an electrodeless conductivity probe. Unlike Model 9570 and Model 9580, this analyser also measures the attenuation and acoustic impedance. The ultrasonic probe is made of 316L or Hastelloy and PEEK, and is normally mounted in a launder or spool piece.

9590 Model Ternary Liquid Analyser

Concentration meter for dual chemicals: intrusive system

This model is ideal for applications where two chemicals need to be measured, such as H2S04 & Cu++ and HCl & FeCl2. These liquids are commonly used in electroplating and pickling applications. Two concentrations are determined by measuring the velocity of soundy, temperature, and conductivity. Model 9590 and model 9595 measure the sound velocity and ultrasonic density with an ultrasonic probe; no other sensors are required, which is a large advantage. The ultrasonic probe is made from Hastelloy and PEEK, and is mounted in a PVDF or PVC cell (which makes it a bypass). Other mounting options are possible on request.

For less abrasive media, such TMAH+PR, we recommend the use of our model 9570. PEEK is a very abrasive and corrosion resistant material, which makes this model a high quality sensor that can be used in very harsh media. The difference between Model 9590 and Model 9595 are the options for installation: Model 9595 can be used for wafers in pipelines.

9595 Model Ternary Liquid Analyser

Concentration meter for dual chemicals: non-intrusive

This model is used in applications where two chemicals need to be measured, such as H2S04 & Cu++ and HCl & FeCl2. These liquids are commonly used in electroplating and pickling applications. Unlike Model 9580, this model uses an ultrasonic wafer cell with two hybrid sensors. Normally, the two concentrations are determined by measuring the velocity of sound, temperature, and conductivity. Model 9590 and model 9595 measure the sound velocity and ultrasonic density with an ultrasonic probe, without the need to use other sensors. Another advantage is that the ultrasonic probe is non-intrusive. If you rely on a bypass system, we recommend the use of Model 9590. Model 9595 is a single-sensor system designed especially for pipelines that allow wafer installation. The wafer cell is made entirely of PEEK and is non-intrusive. PEEK is a very abrasive and corrosion resistant material, which makes Model 9595 a high quality sensor that can be used in very harsh media.
